Brief background of what the organization does and the reference in statute or rule establishing the organization: The Utah Interpreter Program is responsible for conducting the Interpreter for the Deaf quality assurance evaluation and development of the interpreter certification process as mandated by the Utah State Legislature and delegated by the Utah State Board of Education pursuant to UCA 53A-26a-201. The Interpreters Certification Board is comprised of consumers and master level interpreters for the purpose of ensuring a fair and effective quality of American Sign Language interpretation services for Deaf individuals.
Who the group advises: The Utah Interpreter Program, USOR Division of Services to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and Utah State Board of Education

Certified Professional Interpreter for the Deaf / 3 year term
Person(s) in the positions up for vacancy and their representation: Bonnie Marsh, Certified Professional Level Interpreter for the Deaf, Salt Lake County.
Meetings (specific dates or how often the group meets, where, and for how long): Quarterly meetings, the first Wednesday of each month (Jan, April, July, October) at the Sanderson Community Center of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Taylorsville, from 3:00-5:00 p.m.
