Brief background of what the organization does and the reference in statute or rule establishing the organization: The overall purpose of the Council, in partnership with the USOR to review, analyze, and advice the USOR Voc Rehab Program, regarding the performance of the responsibilities of USOR under Title I. Legal basis for SRC is Section 101(a) (36) and 105 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended by the Rehabilitation Act Amendments of 1998 (P.L. 105-220), hereafter to be called The Act.

Meetings (specific dates or how often, where, and for how long): Annual meeting the last regularly scheduled meeting of the fiscal year. The Council fiscal year shall run from October 1st to September 30th of each year meeting at least ten meetings per year at the discretion of the Executive Committee on the last Wednesday’s of each month. No July or December meetings. Meeting location at Utah State Board of Education building in the board room from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
